 Finals Are Complete: DevilZ_High WINS!
High defeats Koven to take the title in this tournament of experts. Introduction
As Age of Kings comes to a close while we all eagerly await the release
of the expansion pack: The Conquerors, we at MFO echoed the sentiments
of the community that it was indeed time for one last tourney. We were
approached by some of the expert community and asked to help sponsor an
"Invite Only" tourney - an idea which we felt had a great deal of
merit. It will surely be enjoyable to watch some of the top active
players duke it out to see who comes out on top. So, I introduce to you
- "The Clash of the Titans"! MFO in conjunction with a panel of
experts have been constructing a list of the top 32 current players.
Each and every player on this list has a rating of 2050+ with a long
line of victories behind their name. We have been VERY selective and
many players have been duking it out in order to prove their skills to
our critical panel. Although we may have missed a few players, we are
confident that our list is rock solid and that the games played will be
superb. Here are the official settings: Prizes:
$500 in prize money will be given out in this tourney (wow!) with the
following breakdown: $250 – First Prize, $150 – Second Prize, $50 – to
each semi finalist. The Schedule

- This is a 1v1 Invitation Only Tourney
- Players will be matched according to a seeding system determined by MFO
- No Teutons unless they come up under random civ. No other restrictions
- Map is Random Map and matches are best 2 out of 3 games.
- You may pick your civ, but you may not use the same civ twice. Note: Random is considered a "civ" and may only be used once
- All
games must be posted here with the winner indicated by midnight of the
round deadline. For example, all round one games MUST be posted on the
forum board by midnight Aug 10. Any games posted after this date will
not be valid.
- MFO reserves the right to modify these rules at any time to meet new demands unforeseen at this present time.
Uncompleted Matches
As you can tell by the schedule, this tourney is going to be very
short. As such, uncompleted matches will not be tolerated. Should the
two players be unable to organize a game both players will be forfeited
from the round unless the tourney judges feel that effort was displayed
by one player and not the other. MFO reserves full right to make
discretionary calls. This tournament is for hardcore gamers so there
should be no exceptions due to inavailability. The Final Round –
should the finals not be completed by Aug 27, there will be an optional
gaming day on Aug 28. On this date, the two semi-finalists will compete
in a single elimination event to determine a winner. Should one of the
semi-finalist matches not take place, the first and second prize money
will go to the respective winner and loser of this game. The third and
fourth place prizes will not be awarded to the pair of semi-finalists
who did not finish their matches in time.
